Chapter Sixteen
WATCHING SETH continually shift in his chair while he sipped his coffee, Donavan hid his grin behind his mug. He couldn’t help it, just as he couldn’t earlier due to the pitiful sounds Seth made when he slid from the bed and his slow, unsteady gait. While he preferred to be on the receiving end, to be the one with the hitch in his step, he was pretty fucking proud of himself to leave Seth in that state.
Donavan grabbed his mug and brought it to his lips to hide his grin. “Can I get you a pillow?”
“I see I’m going to have to reestablish my dominant reputation in your mind. You are far too cocky this morning,” Seth responded without looking up from his newspaper. “And wipe that damn grin off your face.”
Donavan laughed, he couldn’t help it. To have taken control of someone as dominant as Seth and left him satisfied and aching felt pretty fucking good. Their visit to Falchuck had been quite a surprise, and to learn Seth liked and needed to give up control occasionally had been a very, very good surprise. He was a bit shocked at how quickly he’d been able to fall into the role of the aggressor, but to say he was happy it had happened was a fucking understatement. And he couldn’t help but tease Seth a bit longer. He’d earned it.
He laughed harder when Seth looked up at him with a stern expression on his face. “Hey, what can I say? The fact that you might actually need that pillow makes me proud.”
Seth sat back in his chair, taking his mug with him, and cocked his head. “Hmm, perhaps I was wrong about you.”
Uh-oh! Maybe he’d pushed his teasing a bit too far. “How so?” Donavan asked hesitantly.
“Well, you seem to be enjoying your new dominant role. Maybe you need someone a little more submissive.”
Donavan slid out of his chair and walked on his knees toward Seth. “Does this look like I want to be dominant?”
“I don’t know.”
Donavan clasped his hands behind his back, continuing to inch closer. “How about now?”
“You are an awfully big guy, still not looking all that submissive. And the way you took control last night….”
“I happily relinquish the reins to you.” Once Donavan was next to Seth, he laid his head on Seth’s thigh, nuzzling a little. “How about now? Submissive enough?”
“Getting closer,” Seth responded, unable to hide the amusement in his tone.
Donavan took it as a good sign and nudged closer to Seth’s crotch. “What can I do to prove I’m willing to give up my cocky ways?” He inhaled deeply, Seth’s spicy scent heady. Hopefully, proof would include getting his mouth on Seth’s swelling erection.
Fingers threaded in Donavan’s hair, holding him to Seth’s crotch. The anticipation grew until Donavan’s mouth watered. “Well, while you’re down there, you could shine my shoes.”
Donavan chuckled, knowing Seth had only been teasing. “I would if you had shoes on, but—” He reluctantly turned his head and kissed his way down Seth’s thigh and shin.
